Hunger has spread in Gaza, with UN agencies warning of impending famine without a drastic scaling up of aid entering the territory and being distributed across it. There have been multiple incidents of looting.

"Starving people will not let a food truck pass. They need to feed their families", the World Food Programme said.

A large number of starving people in the Gaza Strip have stopped, stormed and looted 77 trucks carrying aid goods from the UN World Food Programme (WFP) on their way to distribution centres, the Rome-based agency posted on the platform X on Saturday.
