Tributes have flooded in for Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva after the pair died in a car accident in Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning. The two men died at the scene following an incident on the A52 near Cernadilla,

The loss of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva “doesn’t make any sense”, says Cristiano Ronaldo, who is among those to have paid tribute to the pair after their deaths in a car accident on Thursday. Ronaldo and Jota were teammates for the Portugal national team.

As several clubs had done prior to their training sessions kicking off, Bayern Munich paid their respects to Jota and his brother by observing a moment of silence before they began what was one of their final training sessions before taking on Paris Saint-Germain in the FIFA Club World Cup quarter finals in Atlanta.
