Nine passengers and a pilot are missing after Flight 445 vanished in the rural western region of Nome, leaving medical personnel ‘standing ready to respond’

The plane was reportedly flying from Unalakleet, Alaska, to Nome, Alaska, two cities located along the west coast of the state. Before the plane was reported missing, the Nome Volunteer Fire Department said the pilot had told Anchorage Air Traffic Control that "he intended to enter a holding pattern while waiting for the runway to be cleared.
