The Lenovo Center is officially renamed on the day the Hurricanes put in their first preseason practice sessions at their home arena.

The Carolina Hurricanes were back on the ice at the Lenovo Center Saturday with the C1 group, which is primarily the NHL regulars having the first session. William Carrier was again absent from practice, but Canes coach Rod Brind'Amour stated that he didn't think he'd be out for a long time.

RALEIGH, N.C. - Eric Tulsky, General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the roster for the team’s 2024-25 training camp, to be held at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh and Invisalign Arena in Morrisville.

The Carolina Hurricanes open training camp this week, and all eyes will be on a roster that’s undergone a serious change since last season. Gone are long-tenured fan favorites like Brett Pesce, Teuvo Terävainen, Brady Skjei, and several others, while new faces include Sean Walker, Jack Roslovic, Will Carrier, and a returning Shayne Gostisbehere.

The Carolina Hurricanes took to the ice for their second day of training camp on Friday, this time at Invisalign Arena at the Wake Competition Center. The C2 group went first today, however Scott Morrow was absent from the group.

On the eve of training camp, the Carolina Hurricanes have finally released the full camp roster. The Canes will have 46 players at camp split between two groups: C1 and C2. The C1 group consists of all of the expected NHL starters plus a few of the depth pieces.

A back-to-back pair of scrimmages highlighted the second day of Flyers training camp. Team 1 swept its two games with a 5-2 victory over Team 3 in the first scrimmage, and a 4-3 (1-0) shootout win over Team 2 in the second scrimmage.
