A shooting at a northeast Indianapolis home left a woman dead and five others injured. A person of interest has been detained.

As officers attempted to clear the crowd, they say several handgun shots were heard near the Palatka Daily News on St. Johns Avenue. Officers found three people with gunshot wounds. One of the victims died at the scene, a second victim died at the hospital. The third victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
