Someone's Google Pixel 6a has caught fire after they installed an update that was meant to reduce the risk of battery heating.

The user hadn't taken advantage of Google's battery replacement offer, but did have an update on their phone that was supposed to prevent this specific occurrence.

It's pretty safe to say that Google Pixel phones are hot right now. Not too long ago, there were a couple of reports of Pixel 6a devices catching fire, and yet another Pixel 6a has put on a pyrotechnics show.
