Alexander Mogilny’s long wait for the Hockey Hall of Fame is over, as the high-scoring Russian winger was selected as part of the eight-member class of 2025.

Alexander Mogilny, whose defection from the Soviet Union and subsequent record-setting tenure with the Buffalo Sabres made him a trailblazer for Russian players in the NHL, has been selected to the Hockey Hall of Fame as a member of its Class of 2025.

Alexander Mogilny, who finished his NHL career with more than 1,000 points, was elected to the Hall of Fame. He played on the 2005-06 Albany River Rats.
