Much of the information presented to the grand jury that indicted Ghislaine Maxwell for helping the late financier Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse teenage girls has already been made public, the Justice Department said in a court filing on Tuesday.

Ghislaine Maxwell, the former girlfriend of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein who was convicted in 2021 of helping him sexually abuse teenage girls, said on Tuesday she opposed the potential release of transcripts of proceedings before the grand jury that indicted her.

Much of what the Justice Department wants a federal judge to unseal from the Ghislaine Maxwell grand jury investigation is already known and, at least so far, the attorney general is seeking to unseal nothing else,
