In naming Daniel Jones the 2025 Week 1 starting quarterback, the Indianapolis Colts will start their 12th signal-caller since 2018, Andrew Luck's final year.

Earlier this offseason, Colts general manager Chris Ballard said the franchise "knew it would be a roller coaster" after drafting Richardson, given his lack of career starts at Florida. That thrill ride continues to go from hill to hill as the Colts approach the start of the 2025 season.

Though the Colts have officially made a move to name Daniel Jones their starting quarterback, for Quenton Nelson, nothing has changed.
