Blackwell Cometh? Nvidia Rumored to Launch RTX 5080 in January
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will deliver a keynote address at CES in January 2025, and everyone expects him to officially launch the Blackwell gaming GPUs. The report suggests Huang will detail the RTX 5090, 5080, and 5070 GPUs. The reveal will include both desktop and laptop variants of the chips.

The leaked image flaunts the RTX 5090 in all its glory. The GB202 die powering the RTX 5090 is rumored to be Nvidia's largest consumer-grade GPU since 2018, at 744mm-squared. Some quick measurements from Harukaze suggest that the GPU package size (including the metallic frame) measures roughly 64mm x 59mm or approximately 3,776 square millimeters.
