Milwaukee Bucks wing Pat Connaughton formally picked up his player option for the 2025-26 season worth $9.4 million on June 21, three days before the deadline to do so. It is the final year of a 3-year, $28.5 million extension he signed in the summer of 2022. He picked up a player option in advance of that extension.

Pat Connaughton is not going anywhere. Shams Charania of ESPN reported that the Milwaukee Bucks guard had exercised his $9.4 million player option for the 2025-26 season. This means he will not hit unrestricted free agency until after the 2025-26 season.

Connaughton, 32, appeared in 41 games during the 2024–25 campaign, averaging 5.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. He played 14.7 minutes per contest while serving as a key reserve in the Bucks’ rotation, often providing energy off the bench and spacing on the perimeter.
