Both AccuWeather and the National Hurricane Center have raised the chances of tropical development around the July 4 weekend.

A system of low pressure could develop near Florida or off the southeastern coast of the U.S. over the Fourth of July weekend, or early next week.

The chance of a tropical system developing on July 4th continue to increase, but there's a silver lining. The tropical system has a 60% chance for development over the next seven days and a 20% chance over the next 48 hours.
