Louisiana sued Roblox last month, alleging the gaming platform is “overrun with harmful content and child predators because it prioritizes user growth.”

The update follows Roblox’s announcement that age estimation for communication will roll out to all users by the end of 2025. The company has also invested in facial age estimation technology to help keep underage players safe and reduce risks of inappropriate interactions on the platform.

Roblox Corp. will restrict certain features on its popular video-game platform across the Middle East, including the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, as child safety concerns and regulatory scrutiny intensify in the region.
