Offensive operations by Russia’s army have increased across the front line, according to social media posts by Ukrainian officers, an analysis of information from the General Staff in Kyiv and soldiers speaking to CNN.

Last year, the Russian forces lost over 400,000 men in the fighting. But they managed to replace losses on an almost one-to-one ratio.

Oleksandr Syrskyi said that Russia had launched a new offensive and that a large increase in assaults was already being observed.
