Drivers should be prepared for a slower ride along busy City Avenue between Philadelphia and Montgomery County for the next several weeks. That’s because crews begin work Monday on a $22.4 million project to rehab the City Ave.

Drivers in Bala Cynwyd should expect delays on City Avenue for the next month as PennDOT crews begin work on the bridge over SEPTA’s Cynwyd Regional Rail tracks.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction on part of City Avenue in Philadelphia and Lower Merion until April 7.
