China responded to President Trump on Monday, accusing the US of violating their trade agreement and has vowed to protect its interests, making it less likely that Trump will get the leadership call he wants to restart trade talks.

In response to President Trump’s claim, China said the United States was the one introducing a series of “discriminatory restrictive measures.”

Beijing accused the US of violating a recent trade agreement reached by both sides in Geneva last month and dismissed similar allegations made by Trump.
