Accompanied by trainers, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts commenced a mound visit for Ohtani in the bottom of the fourth inning, ultimately pulling Ohtani from the game after three-plus innings. It's unclear if Ohtani was injured, and if so, to what extent.

"Dodgers say Shohei Ohtani exited his pitching outing with cramps," Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reported. This was just Ohtani's seventh appearance as a pitcher with the Dodgers after working his way back from surgery.

Shohei Ohtani left his pitching start due to right hip cramps on Wednesday, but the Los Angeles Dodgers' two-way star is expected to be ready for his next turn in the rotation. Ohtani came off the mound with medical training staff during the fourth inning of the Dodgers' game against the Cincinnati Reds.
