The Israeli army killed at least 16 Palestinians in new airstrikes Thursday in the Gaza Strip, one day after it killed 100 Palestinians in a 24-hour period, according to medics. Six victims were killed in three attacks targeting a group of civilians in Deir al-Balah and the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, said a medical source.

At least 20 Palestinians have been killed in two Israeli strikes on a crowded restaurant and market on the same street in Gaza City, medics say. Graphic videos posted on social media showed bodies slumped over tables at the Thailandy restaurant, in the northern Rimal neighbourhood, which had recently been operating as a community kitchen.

Forty-eight people were killed, including at least seven children, in Israeli airstrikes on school compounds sheltering thousands of displaced Palestinians in Gaza, hospital officials said.
