Weeks after four people died and nine people were injured in a school shooting northeast of Atlanta, a group of elementary school students carried signs into the Georgia Capitol Thursday as lawmakers discussed legislation that would incentivize safe gun storage.

Students are walking out of their classrooms Friday all over Georgia as part of a push for gun reform in the state following the shooting at Apalachee High School that left four people dead.

Across the state, students held a walkout to the Georgia State Capitol to protest gun laws after the shooting at Apalachee High School. In Atlanta, school administrators accompanied the students. Students had signed permission slips from their parents that allowed them to join the protest.
