John Travolta gave "Grease" fans the thrill of their lives when he dressed up as Danny Zuko for a surprise appearance at a screening of the hit 1978 movie musical

Released in 1978, Travolta starred in “Grease” alongside Olivia Newton-John, who died in 2022. Other cast members include Stockard Channing, Jeff Conaway, Jamie Donnelly, Dinah Manoff and Eve Arden. Made for only $6 million, the film became Paramount’s highest earner by the end of its run, with a gross of more than $130 million.

Long screening at the Hollywood Bowl last night got a surprise when the original Danny Zuko strutted out onstage. John Travolta posted a photo of himself in character and a video as he entered — wearing a blond wig — from stage right.
