Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2’s tagline is, “generations of blood have led to this.” Indeed, Yellowstone and its two spinoff prequels, 1883 and 1923, have shown the Dutton family’s lives on the ranch dating back to when the family home was first built.

There’s been a glaring hole in the Dutton legacy ever since John Dutton Sr.’s (James Badge Dale) shocking murder in 1923’s first season. Thankfully, 1923 is finally back for season 2, and the prequel is wasting no time in addressing how the Dutton family tree shakes out.
