Despite the Los Angeles Lakers' hope that Deandre Ayton can solve their issues at center next season, at least one person who used to work for one of his former clubs is pessimistic about the 26-year-old making a positive impact.

The Los Angeles Lakers reportedly believe they have the coaching staff, led by JJ Redick, to make the signing of Deandre Ayton work.

Ayton's addition makes the Lakers better on paper. But it will be what happens when no one is watching that demonstrates his biggest impact.
