Children’s Hospital New Orleans marks 70 years of dedication to children’s health — a legacy defined by standing strong for kids

Archie and Olivia Manning’s tight-knit family is often referred to as the first family of American football. Now, there is the Manning Family Children’s hospital in this city where the two native Mississippians have lived for the last 54 years.

It has gone through many renovations and expansions. The latest will be “Walker’s Imaginarium.” Named after a patient, the child enrichment center will be a type of museum at the hospital. Ground was broken this month and is expected to open in May 2026.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a pregnant Wisconsin teen, who police believe is with the 40-year-old man who impregnated her. Gary Day, 40, "is known to be the father of the unborn child," according to the alert. Franklin has a no-contact order against Day, according to the alert.

Arch Manning will be the most talked-about quarterback in college football next season. With the Texas Longhorns entering their second year in the SEC, Manning is stepping into the spotlight as the program's next starting quarterback in 2025.
