The Detroit Tigers' dominance of the American League became more precarious when a second starting pitcher in two weeks went down.

Its Monday, June 2 and the Tigers (39-21) are in Chicago to take on the White Sox (18-41). Jack Flaherty is slated to take the mound for Detroit against Jonathan Cannon for Chicago. Detroit is 6-1 in the last seven games and have taken five of the last six series entering this matchup. Chicago has lost three straight and six of the past seven.

Touted Detroit Tigers rookie pitcher Jackson Jobe was placed on injured list with a flexor strain. The 22-year-old has a 4.22 ERA and 1.49 WHIP on the season.
