President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday imposing reciprocal tariffs ranging from 10% to 41% on U.S. imports from dozens of countries and foreign locations. Rates were set at 25% for India's U.

The new rates include a 25% tariff on exports from India, 20% on those from Taiwan, and 30% on goods coming from South Africa.

The US president, writing on his Truth Social platform early on Thursday, attacked India alongside its long-standing defence and trade partner Russia, after warning a day earlier that he would penalise New Delhi for buying Russian weapons and energy.
