One of the six children fled the home to allege the abuse. Kenneth, Tina and Katlynn Key were charged Wednesday with torture.

Six children were allegedly beaten and strangled to the point of unconsciousness, among other forms of torture by their guardians and another adult at a Victorville home, with some of the abuse going back at least a decade, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Kenneth, Tina and Katlynn Key were arrested on May 12 after a 3-month investigation. The children are ages 5 to 16.
