Vladimir Guerrero Jr. drove in three runs as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the visiting New York Yankees 5-4 on Monday night in the opener of a four-game series.

In the fourth, Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman hit Jose Ramirez in the forearm with a pitch. Ramirez, like Guerrero, stayed in the game to run but was later taken out. Nolan Jones has entered in his place in the lineup, with Lane Thomas moving to center, Angel Martinez moving to second base and Daniel Schneemann shifting to third.
