VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are searching for a suspect in connection to a hit-and-run crash where a woman died early Saturday morning. Officials said it happened just after 1:00 a.m. in the area of West International Speedway Boulevard and Tomoka Farms Road, according to a release.

A 92-year-old driver was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Volusia County on Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the driver, a 92-year-old woman from DeLand, was traveling North Woodland Boulevard approaching Brandywine Road in the left turn lane.

However, in the early hours of Oct. 19, the 911 center for the Volusia Sheriff’s Office received a call from a woman asking to order a pizza — but it didn’t take long for officials to realize this was no prank.
