Saturday begins with a few remnant showers moving across our northern communities--mainly from Route 422 north to I-80. Skies will actually clear for a while after this brief round of showers as a dry slot wraps in around a strong low-pressure system to our northwest.

The storm threat has diminished, but we are not out of the woods yet when it comes to showers. A cool front will usher in spotty showers after noon with wind gusts up to 35 mph. The remainder of the weekend will be dry but cooler.

While it might feel like summer today in Western Pennsylvania, a change is headed this way. Friday has the potential to reach 85 degrees, according to David Shallenberger, meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Moon.
