The devs of QuestCraft released an unofficial VR port of Minecraft to the Meta Quest headset this week, along with detailed installation instructions.

Now, in the latest Bedrock update, the studio has officially dropped VR support, although there are still a few unofficial ways to keep you mining.

As noted by Road to VR (via Eurogamer), the Vivecraft mod for Minecraft Java Edition is still out there, as is the QuestCraft mod for Quest headset owners.

Minecraft, that obsessively popular blocky world building game, has been confirmed for release on Samsung's Gear VR platform by Microsoft at GDC 2016.
