Meta Quest 2 and Quest Pro users can now download the Roblox Open Beta, allowing them to create and engage in new Roblox experiences.
Roblox is launching on Meta’s Quest VR headsets, starting with an open beta that will be available in the coming weeks.
A VR headset like a Meta Quest 2 or Oculus Rift S can unlock engaging virtual worlds, but to get started you need to download content like games and apps to your headset.
Soon, the app will be available for download on the Meta Quest Store, accessible on Meta Quest 2, Quest Pro and, when it drops this fall, Meta's Quest 3 headset.
Although Roblox is already compatible with various VR headsets, including Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, gamers currently need to connect their PC to a VR headset to play.
Roblox is home to tens of millions of daily users and user-generated experiences, casting a clear shadow on Meta’s own social VR platform, Horizon Worlds.
The VR version of Roblox will be available on the Meta Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets, and the new Quest 3 when it launches later this year.
Meta's Oculus Quest 2 has hundreds of games, apps, and other entertainment available for download. You can also play Steam games on the device.
