Nintendo has confirmed that its next (and long-rumored) Nintendo Direct presentation will be taking place this week. The showcase will be watchable live on September 12 at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BST / 3pm CEST, and you can catch it on Nintendo's regional YouTube channels.

Nintendo has announced its sequel, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, along with its release date, the not-all-that-far-away April 3, 2026, which will be almost exactly three years after the first one.

The debut trailer, below, showed off tactical combat, cinematics, and teased the story, which happens alongside the “thrilling heroic games.”
