I've never had an OTA update bork my phone so badly before. I'm wondering if there's a way to reinstall Android on the phone without having to unlock the bootloader and wipe my device?

There are services you can pay for that claim to unlock your US phone’s bootloader, but it’s not the relatively simple process found on the global version of the phone.
