Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's Traffic Safety Advisory Commission approved the final version of the 2023-2026 Michigan Strategic Highway Safety Plan, or SHSP, Tuesday.

Jolted to action by local bicyclists and a federal grant, the Palo Alto City Council agreed on Monday to advance a “safe system” plan aimed at curbing collisions on city streets.
