Amad Diallo has rescued Manchester United with a late 12-minute hat trick to earn a 3-1 win over last-place Southampton in the Premier League

The 19-year-old forward, signed a year ago from Southampton, played 24 games and scored four goals for Exeter after joining them at the start of the season. He was dubbed James Ward-Prowse’s apprentice after his brilliant free-kick helped Exeter win at Bolton early in the season.

But these next three games, at home against Southampton, Brighton, and Rangers, are a very different test for them compared to their trips to Emirates Stadium and Anfield in the past week.
