A man was arrested and charged in relation to child pornography Monday, according to officials. Detectives from the Roanoke Police Department’s Special Victims Unit say they have arrested a man for possession of child pornography after receiving a tip from Southern Virginia’s Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.

Spencer is employed with Roanoke County as a dispatcher in Roanoke County’s Emergency Communications Center. As is standard practice, he has been placed on administrative leave, pending outcome of the investigation.
