Four more men have been arrested over the death of a man who was fatally shot inside a car in Birmingham. Raad Asamel, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene on Rotton Park Road at the junction of City Road in Edgbaston, just before 23:00 GMT on 22 November.
A US national is to be charged with conspiracy to murder a Birmingham shop owner, crown prosecutors say. They said on Thursday they had authorised West Midlands Police to charge Aimee Betro over her alleged role in a plot to slay the clothing store owner and his family members in September 2019.
A man has been jailed after a stabbing in Birmingham that left a man with serious injuries which led to doctors putting him in a coma. Reasha Geddes, from Edgbaston, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing a blade at an earlier hearing.
A man has been charged with attempted murder after two people were injured last summer. West Midlands Police said Jordan Edwards, 31, from Birmingham, was also charged with possession of firearms with intent to endanger life and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car on a motorway. The man was struck on the southbound carriageway of the M42, between junctions 4, the Monkspath Interchange, and 3a Umberslade Interchange, at 23.09 GMT, on Sunday, West Midlands Ambulance Service said. He was confirmed dead at the scene, the service said.
A man has been arrested in connection with the attempted abduction of a three-year-old girl in Wolverhampton. West Midlands Police received reports that a man tried to pick up and take the girl while she was outside a house on Leicester Street at about 17:15 GMT on Thursday.
A man in his 30s sustained life-threatening injuries when a car hit a wall following a police pursuit in Birmingham, the West Midlands force has said. The Honda Civic in which he was travelling crashed into vehicles and then into a wall on Lionel Street, at the junction with Newhall Street, at about 14:50 GMT on Sunday.
