Tonight, Laughton laid it all on the line and dropped the gloves with New York Islanders forward Maxim Tsyplakov in an act of revenge for Tsyplakov injuring Flyers forward Ryan Poehling the last time the two teams met. Laughton scores the TKO victory, but you've got to hand it to Tsyplakov for standing in there and taking his medicine.

The third game of his suspension is a rematch between the Flyers and Islanders at UBS Arena.

Tsyplakov registered an assist and five PIM in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Flyers.

There were plenty of developments Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center as the Flyers lost to the Islanders, 3-0. The club was blanked for a second straight game. And Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost were traded to the Flames after the loss.

A few weeks ago, the Eastern Conference Playoff race seemed as crowded as possible. Only a handful of points separated teams in the last few spots from those at the bottom of the conference.
