A day after AAP announced that Arvind Kejriwal would vacate the chief minister’s residence at 6, Flag Staff Road, the party on Friday requested that he be alloted an alternate government accommodation that is typically provided to the heads of national political parties. The party emphasised that this is “not a matter of privilege but a necessity”.

AAP leader Raghav Chaddha on Friday said that according to the rules laid down by the Election Commission of India, Arvind Kejriwal should be given government accommodation.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday said it has written to the Centre requesting the “immediate” allotment of government accommodation for the party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal.

AAP has said that Arvind Kejriwal will move out of the government bungalow he was staying for the past 10 years, within 15 days.
