Max Dowman was aged 15 years and 235 days when he came on as a substitute for Arsenal against Leeds on Saturday to become the second-youngest player to feature in a Premier League match.

Arsenal have handed 15-year-old academy star Max Dowman his Premier League debut. Dowman was included among the substitutes ahead of Arsenal’s home match against Leeds United after rising through the club’s academy and came on for Noni Madueke in the 64th minute at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have developed quite a reputation for blooding youngsters in the Premier League, and plenty of them have gone on to do great things. Max Dowman’s cameo against Leeds in August 2025 made him the second youngest player in Premier League history, but doesn’t quite make him the youngest Arsenal player to have done so.
