ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a shooting that injured a child. At approximately 8:22 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the Exxon gas station at 568 Chappell Road NW to reports of a person shot. The 11-year-old victim was privately taken to a local hospital to have a graze wound treated.

An 11-year-old was grazed by a bullet in an incident on Chappell Road in northwest Atlanta on New Year's Day, according to the Atlanta Police Department. It happened around 8:22 p.m. at the Exxon gas station located at the corner of Chappell Road and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway NW.
