Chicago Cubs rookie Cade Horton Horton left Sunday’s game in the sixth inning with a 1-0 lead, but the Cubs lost 6-1. It was Horton’s fourth no-decision of the season.

After a 12-5 win on Friday, the White Sox entered the Game 2 of the Crosstown Series ranked first or second in MLB in runs scored (61), runs per game (8.7), run differential (plus-33), slugging percentage (.544), OPS (.909), hits (80), batting average (.307), on-base percentage (.365) and doubles (23).

Cade Horton’s start was the Cubs’ sixth this season of at least 6⅓ innings with no runs allowed. He had a seven-inning scoreless start vs. the Guardians on July 3. Matthew Boyd also has had two. Shota Imanaga and Justin Steele have had one. Horton has not given up a run in his last 12⅔ innings spanning three games.
