A fatal vehicle collision Saturday morning caused lane closures on eastbound Interstate 80 in Colfax, law enforcement officials said. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office announced on X, formerly Twitter, that two people died in a “deadly head-on crash” and all eastbound lanes of I-80 were closed at Canyon Way.
