The Eugenio Suárez trade sweepstakes just took a very scary turn for the worst after the slugger was hit in the hand by a fastball.

If the Phillies do make a trade for Suarez, that could leave the team trading third baseman Alec Bohm, since they both play the same position. Christopher Kline from Fansided thinks it's a possibility.

In the top of the ninth inning, Suárez was hit on the left hand by Tigers closer Will Vest, with the force causing his helmet to fly off. Suárez knelt down and grabbed his hand before eventually leaving the game. Blaze Alexander ran in his place.
