The longtime owner of a Fall River assisted living facility where 10 residents died in a fire earlier this month announced Friday he will not be speaking publicly about what happened anytime soon.

Etzkorn said that the Garbiel House is working on returning possessions to displaced residents and determining a method to prevent a similar tragedy from occurring in the future.

More information on the cause of the deadly Fall River fire at Gabriel House on July 13 was released Tuesday. During a press conference Tuesday afternoon, officials said evidence narrowed the cause down to two possibilities, either an electrical or mechanical failure of an oxygen concentrator or the improper use or disposal of smoking materials.
