Luisangel Acuna led off the inning with a double to center, and scored on Juan Soto’s two-out RBI single. The next batter, Pete Alonso, hammered Liberatore’s 94-mph four-seam fastball to center for a double that drove in Soto.

There hasn’t been a better sign for the Mets over the season’s first 21 games than the apparent return of their ace.
