HARTFORD — Gov. Ned Lamont has "reluctantly" vetoed the sweeping housing bill his office negotiated with legislative leaders, arguing Monday the proposal goes too far in encouraging Connecticut towns to zone for affordable units.

Affordable housing targets for towns became a contentious issue that derailed the wider policy by Gov. Ned Lamont’s office
