Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk and fellow forwards Josh Norris and Shane Pinto will sit out the team's home game against the white-hot Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday, multiple media outlets reported.

Tkachuk is "hopeful" to play Wednesday against the Winnipeg Jets but doesn't want to "reaggravate" the injury.

Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk is still feeling the effects of the 4 Nations Face-Off, where he sustained a lower-body injury that has delayed his return to the Ottawa Senators lineup. Tkachuk suffered the injury during the United States’ round-robin game against Sweden.

The Ottawa Senators might have their captain back Wednesday against the Winnipeg Jets after Brady Tkachuk practiced with his teammates, telling reporters after that "I'm feeling all right."

The Senators need more from their winger, whom Green pushed to be harder on pucks from as way back as last summer. Batherson scored a hat trick against the Anaheim Ducks in mid-December, which should’ve been an encouraging sign for his season. But he has scored only four goals in his next 28 games.

The Senators should not trade Brady Tkachuk before his no-move clause begins because their rebuild may finally be over.

Tkachuk confirmed he sustained the injury playing for the United States at the 4 Nations Face-Off. He skated on his own ahead of practice Tuesday, took one line rush with Claude Giroux and Tim Stutzle and then left practice, although he said that was part of the plan.
