The New York Times introduced their first crossword puzzle in 1942 and have since added various popular games, peaking with Wordle in 2022. Their latest game, NYT Strands, debuted in 2024 and challenges players daily by uncovering theme-related words such as December 28's 'Just the Essentials' theme with Spangram 'Aromatherapy'.
