The Supreme Court is in the homestretch of a term that has lately been dominated by the Trump administration’s emergency appeals of lower court orders seeking to slow President Donald Trump’s efforts to remake the federal government.
The U.S. Supreme Court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, delivered four unanimous opinions on Thursday, showing a united front on a range of cases. The Supreme Court currently holds a 6-3 conservative majority.
Some 20 cases remain to be decided — about a third of the total argued cases — many of them the most important of the term. But the shadow docket, with its own list of cases, looms over the other opinions.
